We are back!!

Man it has been 8 months since our last post. "Bro" sure has grown and has learned so much since my last post. He will be 20 months in a few days and that is so hard to believe. Where does the time go. He absolutely loves it outside! A few months back I was outside working in the flower bed while Trent was inside cooking dinner and "watching" Bro. I came in after about an hour and the door to the garage was open. I yelled at Trent and asked him why the door was open and he didn't know. I then tried to find Bro by yelling for him and there was no Bro! I started to feel the panic set in. I stepped out into the garage and started yelling his name and still no answer. I then walked out the garage doors and started to scan the yard and then I saw him!!! He was standing at the end of the driveway at the road! I said his full name in a very stern manner and he replies with a wave and "bye bye"!! I felt like an idiot. The neighbors had been driving by the whole time and I had no idea how long he had been standing at the road. I am lucky they didn't call CPS on me. Needless to say the garage door now is dead bolted when we come in! I will post a few new pictures of our little escape artist later along with our March of Dimes Walk! More to come :-)

Oh my I had no idea that it has been this long. It has been crazy around our house the last few months. I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who prayed for me and my family last month. I can't express how grateful that I am to have such wonderful friends!!

We have been busy planning a birthday party for my soon to be 1 year old!! I can't believe how fast his first year has gone by. In just a few short days he will be eating cake and ice cream. We have had a lot of birthdays this September and I have scolded anyone who has tried to give him a bite of birthday cake!! LOL I just want Brodie to have his first taste of cake at his own party. My little man isn't walking yet, but we are getting pretty close to taking those first steps. He can run crawl (that's what we call it ) especially if he hears the fridge door open. He make a mad dash to it. He now has three teeth all the way in and three more peaking through. Brodie and the dog are becoming better friends Brodie even crawled under the bed with her and then SCREAMED until mommy came and rescued him. He must really love his daddy because that is all the little guy will say, dada dada dada. I try my hardest to get a mama in there and he just looks up, smiles, and then dada!! lol. We made a trip to Dr. R. and Brodie has caught up with his age group on weight and length, he may not be in in the 80% range, but we are above 50%!!!

CUTEST BABY!!

Well we didn't take home the title on Saturday from the baby contest at the fair, but there is no doubt that he is definitely the cutest baby boy on the block! We had a good time, but it was just SO hot. I kinda feel like a bad mom like one of those crazy pageant parents. EEK I don't think this will be a trend of ours. Trent said "this is the one and only one of these we will be participating in" he thought it was dreadful! I did get to meet a fellow blogger that recognized us so that was nice. Brodie and i have been trying to keep busy lately with his daddy working lots of extra time with all this nonsense going on around town. We have missed him being around. Daycare is closed next week so we have lots of projects planned around home. This could get interesting :-) Sorry no pictures I'm at work and left my camera at home today! I will update on those later.

We go to Riley on Tuesday to have a specialist look at Brodie's arm to see if his birthmark needs to be removed. It is called a nevi and they usually become cancerous. You can kinda see it in this picture on his shoulder. Dr. Ruff said that there was a few different options on how to take it off. One is putting a balloon under the skin to stretch it the they will remove it and close the skin back, and the other would be to do a skin graft. Please say a prayer for us to be able to have the best option for Brodie done.

We don't have any big plans for this weekend. I think that the Wagler's will be joining us at my MIL for the fireworks show at the park. She lives a few blocks away so it is a prime spot. Happy Independence Day to Everyone!!

We have has such a busy month! I can't believe how much time has passed since my last post. My handsome little man will be 8 months pretty soon and I will be planning a MASSIVE birthday party for him before long.

We have been to Alabama and Florida this month. We had three graduations in Alabama then a vaca to Destin, Florida. Brodie did pretty well for all that traveling. I am so glad that we came back when we did. He has been teething sooo badly since we got home. He has had some major fits where he just screams and screams and screams. It doesn't matter what you do for him it isn't going to help oh and did i mention that he screams!!

Trent and I are very excited that our yard is going to be getting fixed. We have major water issues when it rains. It looks like a river that flows into a pond in our yard. It is awful! Gress's are going to be able to fix it pretty reasonably. We will also be starting on some landscaping around the front of the house. If anyone has any good websites that i could visit and get ideas let me know.

We have relay for life coming up next weekend. I am very excited, but always dread how i feel by 3pm on Saturday. Trent will be keeping Brodie while I am gone, but I am sure that they will find their way to the park somehow. We also have a Hembree Wedding coming up next weekend. (sheena get your dancing shoes on!! lol) I will have lots of pictures soon to follow. Hope you all have a great weekend!

About Everything we have been up to!!! We recently celebrated my nephew Noah's 6th birthday at Mr. Gattis! He had all of his little friends there and they had a blast :)

For Brodie's Easter party at school I tried to make cake pops. I do not recommend. I was very disappointed in them :(

That night Brodie fell asleep while eating. This was a first and a hoot!!

We have been busy busy busy!!! Oh and everyone was sick AGAIN! I will be so glad when this bug is out of our home. We are getting ready for EASTER this week!! We are having Easter dinner at our house both Saturday and Sunday (I have some major cleaning to do). And I am making cake pops for Brodies daycare. I hope they turn out i have never made them before. I will post pictures of the finished product when I am done with them. What a Glorious day it will be!!

It is hard to think that a time of sadness about how Glorious it will be in heaven when the Lord is in the company of another Angel. As Andrea Boes time here on earth is coming to an end I can't fathom the pain her family and friends are feeling. I have been Blessed in knowing Andrea as her husband Jeff and my husband Trent worked side by side has police officers. Andrea is such an up-beat person who never felt as though the Lord had handed her a problem she couldn't get through. She kept her head held high and her heart lifted to the Lord and Praised Him! I hear stories of her strength and it makes me take a look at my life and not want to take anything for granted. I just continue to lift Andrea, Jeff and Ethan up and prayer and ask the Lord to take away her pain. We must also remember to pray for her abundance of family and friends that will never forget her or what she has done for them.

1 Corinthians 13:12 Now we see things imperfectly as in a cloudy mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.

My nephew Joel turned 3 on Monday! As you can see he seems to think he can save the world from the Joker and such....Have no fear if you are a Superman fan he has one of those costumes too. Joel wears his capes from the time he comes home from school till he goes to bed. His poor mother has too drag them off of him. This seems to be hereditary!! His big brother Noah has passed along his super hero powers to Joel. Joel, Ninny (that's me) hopes you had a wonderful birthday and got everything you wanted. We love you!!!

All has been quiet in the McWilliams household lately. We are praising God for keeping Brodie happy and healthy the past few weeks. He seems to be over all of his sinus junk. Poor kid hates that nasal aspirator :( He is getting so big and developing such a personality. We are soaking it all in and enjoying every minute of it. We made it Evansville this weekend to do some much needed shopping. Brodie was pretty good. He got a little irritated in Maurices so Trent took him to a bench and fed him. He was full and happy after that:)

We are getting ready for our second bake sale at 1st Federal on Friday to benefit the March of Dimes. Again if anyone would like to donate food or money let us know we would appreciate it.

I also ask that you all lift Andrea Boes and her family up in Prayer. She is battling cancer and needs all of our prayers. If you would like you can keep up with her journey here http://www.carepages.com/carepages/AndreaB .

Doctor visit and car wreck!!

I am proud to say that my little man has gain 2 more pounds we are almost up to 12 whole pounds!! YAY! Dr. Ruff is so happy with his progress Brodie is growing just fine and is up to 23" long. He even showed off for Dr. Ruff by sticking his tongue out at him and sitting up pretty good. Dr. Ruff had to tell him to stop showing off :) We were happy to find out that Brodie only has one more dose of Synagis to take and we will be done with that:) Synagis is such an insurance headache!! You have to get pre-approved for it and then they have to mail it to the doctors office it is just a long process.

On Tuesday I went to pick B up at daycare and hit the neighbors truck!!! Ouch!! I thought Trent was going to kill me ;) Not really I just knew that he would be a nervous wreck about it. My car ended up with about $900.00 in damage and the other guys truck was just fine I just hit the rubber on his bumper. Thank goodness for that.

Just a reminder about the bake sale on Friday at First Federal!!!

March of Dimes

The March of Dimes has officially started its 2009 Campaign March for Babies. Our family has been chosen as the ambassador family for Daviess County. We are part of the 1st Federal Team and will be walking together on April 11th. There will be a bake sale at the bank on Friday Feb 13th. Feel free to stop by and get some goodies!! Well Brodie has started playing his first game!!! I picked him up from daycare the other day and they were sticking their tongue out at him and making a funny noises, and next thing you know Brodie was doing it back at her. It was sooo funny now Trent can't stop sticking his tongue out at Brodie.

Brodie is finally starting to feel better. He has been sleeping through the night all this week it is great!!! We have had such a busy week I am so ready for this weekend. Work has been so crazy with all the snow and ice with people having accidents. Last night the ladies at church had a baby shower for us since our other one was on the day Brodie was born. It was so nice to get together with everyone and we got a lot of things we still needed. Well I will leave you with a few pictures from this week. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Well what a crappy week for Brodie to be sick!! On Sunday he started having a runny nose and it just got worse from there. With him being preemie I was scared to death. I called the Dr. on Monday and they said as long as he wasn't running a fever, coughing, and the snot was clear we were fine just use suction and nasal spray. On Tuesday he started coughing and sound awful! He sounded so pitiful. I couldn't get through to the Dr.s Office and it was sleeting like no other so, We decided to take him to Quick Care. They gave him some breathing treatments and sent us on our way. He still wasn't sounding better Wednesday, so I called the on call Pediatrician and she told us to come in on Thursday. I felt better getting to see Dr. Ruff he makes us feel better about everything. Dr. Ruff said that Brodie just needed some extra TLC :) Brodie just has a little viral thing going on and should be fine.

I was a little disappointed that school wasn't going to be in on Friday. Me and Brodie had plans to go with Sheena and her kiddos to the B-R game. We were going to cheer on Megan Delaney for homecoming. Since school isn't in we are now going to pay Shawna, Allison, and Baby Delaney a visit. It should be a blast she is such a beautiful baby. Hope Everyone has a safe weekend :)

Well we had our Dr.s appointment yesterday I can't believe that Brodie is almost 10 lbs!!! It is hard to believe that he gained over 2lbs this month. Dr. Ruff was very pleased with his progress and said he was doing awesome. He is starting to be more verbal on Sunday i was getting him ready for church and while I was talking to him he just kept on smiling at me. I love it!! It made my day! I have to admit that I was a little scared about this week. Trent is gone to a class all week and it is just me and Brodie. It is all I can do to get ready in the morning and out the door on time when Trent is here to help. This morning went perfectly Brodie ate at 10:30 last night and slept until 5am. That is the longest stretch he has ever went, so I think that we will be just fine this week if my little man will keep on sleeping through the night. Wish us luck!!

Well, I have decided to try blogging. My friend Shawna has a blog and I love keeping up to date with what is going on with her and her family. So I thought this would be a great way for me to keep everyone updated on our family. Here is a little about all of us...

Trent and I have been married for three years and have a 3 month old baby boy Brodie. We had a ruff start with the little man. He decided to come to this earth 10 weeks early. We spent 6 weeks in NICU at St. Marys in Evansville. They were so great to us. Brodie is now home and has no health problems we are just trying to fatten him up. I can't not describe the pain that I felt for my little man. He was 3lbs 10oz and seeing him hooked up to I.V.s and feeding tubes was aweful. I thank God everyday that he has blessed us with our little miracle.
